My best friend saw this bouquet on Facebook and fell in love with it but couldn't afford to buy it. I decided I would surprise her and buy it for her. I recently received my artwork from Jewel-Re-Art. I had some old costume jewelry from my late Grandma. It just sat in a box on my dresser, collecting dust. When I saw the pieces Joan from Jewel-Re-Art created I knew that I wanted one with a piece of Gran's old jewelry in it. I left the jewelry with her when I visited TB. After Christmas, I commissioned Joan to start the piece. As I live in AB we had to work on it through pictures and via messages. Joan was a pleasure to work with and wanted the piece to be exactly what I wanted. She had such patience with me as I am quite picky with my decor. I sent pictures of the room where it would be displayed so it would match my decor. We discussed style, colour and the frame and she gave me some ideas she thought would work. Once she had the piece set in the frame, I was shown the picture before its completion. A few changes were made and then the artwork was completed. Joan sent me the piece via Canada Post and it arrived perfect. It was packed very carefully so as not to damage it. My artwork is now displayed in my bedroom with Gran's favourite brooch prominently displayed where I can look at it all the time. I absolutely LOVE my piece. My friends and family ooh and aah over it. If you have old costume jewelry or a sentimental piece, why not have it made into a beautiful piece of art. I highly recommend Jewel-Re-Art! Joan does beautiful work and is a pleasure to work with, patient and sensitive to your wants and specifications. The prices are reasonable considering the time and supplies that go into a piece. I will definitely have another artwork done.

We requested an artwork for our Nana’s 80th birthday made with her own personal jewelry that had been passed on to her. I had the pleasure of meeting Joan and over coffee she shared her special talent for re-purposing vintage costume jewelry. My daughter was pregnant with our first grandbaby, a girl, and I was planning her baby shower. I had collections of my Mom and Mother-in-law's as well as my sister's and my own jewelry. I asked Joan if she would create an art piece for my granddaughter's nursery which we had decorated in a wildflower theme. The creation that Joan made, the care and meticulous effort she put into this project was so special that I literally cried when she asked me to pop over to view her first draft.
